Well here I am posting here again.... Bloody Amazing hey!!
For those that I have told... My niece Madison has been selected for the Beijing Paralympics.
Please read on as I want to share what is currently happening in our world.
I received this from Linda via email yesterday and I wanted to share it with you all..................................................................
Hi Again everyone,
Madison's trip to Canada and the USA looks pretty good so far:
3 July 2008
Madison breaks three Australian Junior records.
Beginning with a time of 59.95 seconds in the 400m, it always looked
like a great day for Madi D at the Canadian Nationals in Windsor,
Canada. Smashing her Personal Best by nearly seven seconds, she broke
Holly Ladmore's 1999 record by almost five. The day got better for
Madison when she won the 100m event in a time of 18.03, beating her PB
by more than a second and breaking another of Ladmore's 1999 records. In
her final event of the day, Madison ran second to Boston Marathon
Runner-up, Diane Roy, in the 1500m. Her time of 4:00.30 was a stunning
22 seconds faster than her previous PB and nearly four seconds under the
third of Ladmore's 1999 records.
We're ecstatic over here. She has the 200m tomorrow then the team will
have to cut the meet short as they have to catch a plane for Atlanta.
She's still trying for sub-17 in the 100m - that's the target before
Beijing. The 18.03 today was with a headwind of 1.5 so it's encouraging.
Also, Madi's new website is up and running, so please check it out at
www.madiD.com.au
Cheers
PS: Only 63 days to go. .
